It is estimated that over 90% of companies in the United States now perform a background check before hiring a new employee.

These checks are designed to reveal obvious problems such as a criminal record or a history of drug use.

They also look for inconsistencies in employment history and educational qualifications as they are stated on a resume or job application.

Over 50% of these background checks find inconsistencies in these areas.

Over 80% of companies, upon finding these inconsistencies, will reject an otherwise well- qualified candidate.

This means that a job applicant could have an effective resume and excellent interview skills, and still be disqualified from a professional opportunity.

Unfortunately for many applicants, this disqualification is often based on less obvious reasons, such as gaps in employment, inconsistent or negative references, or factual errors on the resume.

It is essential to provide clear, concise, and reliably verifiable information to a potential employer, and we can help ensure that this is done.

Our services include-

-Detailed analysis of your work history and educational background.

-Assessment of your references, with particular attention given to past employers. It should be noted that many states have passed laws which remove restrictions on companies speaking candidly about former employees.

-Individual coaching sessions, usually by telephone, with one session scheduled before your resume/application is revised, and one session after, with follow up sessions as required.

-If required, creation of an addendum to clarify a problem area on your existing resume, or preferably, a re-written resume to eliminate the conflict.
